“I ‘love’ you”

Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah for giving us another day to live, to worship HIM, and a chance to be a better person.

So today I went to Muslim Student Association weekly lecture. This is my first time actually. Brother Bashir Fadl gave the lecture. So today he talked about one hadith of Prophet Muhammad (saw). It is about 7 characteristics of people who will enter Jannah (heaven) straight away. Who will be called by Allah Taala during the judgement day to enter heaven. and a person’s fate whether or not he/she will go to jannah is by Allah’s grace and mercy. Not because of our deeds, but because of HIS mercy. So do not ever think that our good deeds are sufficient for us to enter the paradise. So one of the characteristics that struck my heart and soul is

‘people who love other people because of Allah.

There is a story happened when Prophet Muhammad was performing a pray with other muslims. Because of his love to other people, he could remember every single face in the jamaah. So after the prayer, he realized that one person was missing. So he asked his ‘sahabat’ about that person and they said that he was sick. So prophet Muhammad asked his ‘sahabat’ to come with him to visit the sick man. So when Prophet Muhammad came to his house, the sick man was so happy, and Prophet Muhammad asked him about his illness. He told Prophet Muhammad that he cried so much because he was sad that he will not be able to see Prophet Muhammad in jannah when he died. Because he loved the Prophet, he cried, he was so sad and he felt sick. and Prophet Muhammad told him,

“On the judgement day, you will join the people that you love.”

So, love other people because of Allah. How to do that? we can lend them our hands whenever they need. and also, love is not just a word; it comes with actions. Don’t just say that you love your parents because of Allah. Show it. Be good to them, do not talk back, help you friends when they need your help; and also, help our brothers and sisters in other countries for example, those who are in Somalia, Palestine, Lebanon. maybe we cannot go there to help them but we can pray for them. It is one way to show our love.

I want to be with people that I love, not just in this temporary world, but also in the afterlife. What about you?

and one quick reminder for all of us:  before sleep, forgive everyone and ask everyone for forgiveness; because we never know whether we will wake up from our sleep or not. So for every wrong doings, wrong sayings, I would like to apologize, from the bottom of my heart. I am not a perfect human being; none of us are. I greatly appreciate your forgiveness and kindness. Thank you very much.

InsyaAllah, if I have time, I will talk about the other characteristics soon. Assalamualaikum. May Allah bless you.

must it be the only moment?

there are times,
you wish you can turn back time, so that you can make everything as they should be, you can put them in the right places;

there are times,
you just want to cry out loud, to ease your pain;

there are times,
when tears just flow on your cheek, without you noticing it,
you do not know why,
but you know you have been keeping them, for so long, that your heart cannot bear it any longer;

there are times,
when you want to spill out your anger, your frustration, your feeling,
but when you turn around, you realize, there is no one willing to lend their ears,
there is no one willing to sacrifice their time for you,

and,
that is the moment you realized, that Allah listens to you,
that is the moment you know you can count on HIM,
that is the moment you know you are not alone,
that is the moment you know HE will never disappoint you,

must it be the only moment?

Can you understand the feeling?

Whenever someone said something that hurtful, their words will forever remain in your heart. No matter how much they explained, or apologized, it does not matter. I am far from perfect. No matter how hard I tried, I can never be perfect. It is so hard to accept people’s apologize when they keep repeating the same mistake. They insult you, hurt you intentionally.

You feel intimidated because of what others said.
You feel humiliated.
You lose your self-esteem, your confidence.
You can never be good in someone else eyes.
No matter how hard you try.
They made it impossible for you to change.

when you need their supports the most,
that is the moment they let you down,
that is the moment  your heart breaks,
that is the moment you lose confidence in yourself,
that is the moment…

You hate them for saying those to you,
but in the end, you realized that it is all your fault.

and can you understand this feeling? You are not angry. But…it is so hard to describe it.
Can you understand the feeling?

My best friend is now Puan!

 “Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think.”
Quran [30:21]

Alhamdulillah, September 10, 2011, in the morning, my best friend, Nur Tasnim is officially married to her beloved man, Aimanuddin. Praise to Allah. I am extremely happy for them. No words in any language can describe my happiness. So she is the first Chentas to get married! Even though I am sad because I could not be there with her during her big day, but my happiness is greater than my sadness. She is my best friend anyways.

Be happy best friend. I will always pray for you, for both of you. You have entered a new world, a new journey, and you have new responsibilities. But remember, Allah is always with you. and me too. I love you and I miss you.

Had a short talk with my other best friend. She seems different. and she is not telling me her problems. I am worried sick.
